The Botanical Garden in Palermo captivates with its numerous species of plants, trees, greenhouses and the colourful, exotic world of flowers. In the spring light, an extensive walk is worthwhile and offers the perfect respite from the otherwise lively Sicilian capital Palermo on the dreamlike, southern Italian island.
This photographic image was exposed with my Nikon D80 and taken during my Easter trip in April 2002. Avenues of palm trees, an extensive collection of cacti as well as a unique plant world immerse the visitor in an enchanting oasis of tranquillity. It's the perfect place to unwind and take in the smell of fantastic flowers and blossoms. The island of Sicily captivates visitors with its unique urban landscapes and Mediterranean nature.
