How simple can it be - a blue-painted wall with rough wooden boards underneath held by two cleats. In Slovakia close to the Polish border is a sleepy village where there are a couple of blue-painted sheds. It could also be in Greece or Morocco but it is in Slovakia. Blue wherever it is always gives a summer feeling. The feeling of a sunny blue sky. The planks also appear to be painted along but the paint has soaked into the wood there, so the shade of grey underneath is still clearly visible. They are irregularly sawn planks that suggest they are very old. The two cleats hold the three boards in the middle in place probably there is something of a cellar. It is a nice combination of the bluewashed rough smooth wall and the grey planks underneath. In all its simplicity and repetition yet not boring because of the detail of the two clamps. this is how a country shed has become an abstract work of art
