About "Blue hour on the streets of Gdańsk"

About the artwork

This photo takes you to the heart of Gdańsk, a city that oozes history and atmosphere. Through the gate you look out over a centuries-old street, paved with glittering cobblestones, towards the imposing St Mary's Church bathed in blue evening light. The combination of warm street lights and the cool light of the blue hour creates a magical, almost cinematic atmosphere.
What inspired me was the play of light and shadow under the gate: it makes you feel as if you are stepping into another world, where time stands still for a moment and every detail comes to life.

I took this shot at a quiet moment, early in the evening, when the city had not yet fully awoken from its daytime rest. You feel the silence, the past, and yet there is anticipation in the air. The symmetry of the street and the gate, along with the impressive architecture, make this image unique and powerful.

This work brings calm, depth and a touch of mystery to any interior. It is perfect for lovers of urban photography, night light and special European cities. Hang this picture and imagine yourself in romantic Gdańsk for a moment every day.

About Roy Poots

In 2009 Roy Poots bought his very first SLR camera, a Canon EOS 450D. After having photographed everything for a while, he realised that he liked landscapes, architecture and (nocturnal) cityscapes the most by far. Since then, he has devoted himself to these subjects.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
