The inspiration for this work was the graphic effect of ground cover plants in full bloom. I was interested in how many small individual elements create a harmonious overall picture - almost like a naturally grown pattern. The aim was to capture this structure in a flat, calm composition.
The atmosphere is lively, but not restless. The picture invites you to engage with the repetition and the interplay of colour and form. The message is simple: beauty is often created through diversity on a small scale.
