About "Blue and yellow irises"

About the artwork

Dutch creator and designer Tanja Koelemij is an expressionist painter of, mainly, still lifes and landscapes. Koelemij lives and grew up near the Dutch coast and she uses those images when painting. "Blue and Yellow Irises" is from 2022, the original work has the size 50 x 40 cm but the prints at Werk aan de Muur can of course be ordered in different sizes.

Koelemij usually works with a loose, quick touch in an impasto technique but sometimes also with more dreamy stroke. "I am always looking for a certain freedom. For a quick movement or a quick decision. I try out many colors and I often work with large brushes. Precisely because of the speed I lose a bit of control and in my opinion something comes into the canvas that I feel but perhaps cannot imagine. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
