Bloom #08 is the evocation of a memory of childhood gardens. Flowers and scents of the past in the heat of a late summer afternoon.
The original work was done with paint and oil pastels on canvas paper. The weft of the paper appears in transparency under the layers of paint in glaze. The oil pastel touches are worked in the impressionist manner and enhance the composition by adding substance.
Between figuration and abstraction, my work evokes nature and natural elements. Landscapes, skies, water, mountains and rocks are inexhaustible sources of inspiration. I like to suggest more than to represent, to let the spectator's imagination run free and to arouse his emotion.
