About ‘Blonde in the engine room of a ship’ by Matthias Stolt

During a photo shoot on a cruise ship, we had the opportunity to take photos in the engine room. Our model enjoyed posing in front of the sailors in her nightgown at the engine telegraph. The photo was taken with a system flash and a zoom lens on analogue slide film. The slide was then scanned.

Hamburg, Germany

I worked as a freelance photo designer for 25 years. My focus was on fashion and advertising photography. I am also the author of numerous books and articles in trade magazines.
Before becoming self-employed, I worked in marketing for a large camera manufacturer, where I was in charge of public relations.

I discovered my love of photography during my training as a retoucher. This sparked a desire not only to edit photos, but to take them myself.
