A flower still life by her was rediscovered in 2009. It was signed 'Judith.millears 1654'. Supposedly, this is the same painting that appears in an inventory drawn up soon after her death. In it, the work blompot of Juffr. Molenaer appears. Judith Leyster (Haarlem, July 1609 - Heemstede, buried 10 February 1660) was a 17th-century Dutch painter who specialised mainly in genre paintings. One of the few female painters in the Netherlands during the Golden Age, she was also the only female member of the Haarlem painters' guild. Judith Leyster specialised in genre painting.
