Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Black-and-white photograph of a sleeping koala’ by Lina van Oers

In this photograph, you can see a sleeping koala clinging tightly to a tree trunk. Its eyes are closed and its head rests gently against the wood, giving the image a very peaceful and tender feel. The fluffy ears and thick fur contrast beautifully with the rugged, rough tree bark. The black-and-white treatment really brings out the textures. You can clearly see the contrast between the soft animal and the robust wood. The composition is simple, but that is precisely what makes it so powerful. It’s all about tranquillity, softness and security.

This photograph would look wonderful in a bedroom, nursery, reading nook or a peaceful living room. It’s an image that immediately creates a calm atmosphere and therefore works well in interiors featuring soft colours and natural materials. Think of a Scandinavian style, a Japandi interior or a tranquil country-style home with beige, cream, white and light wood. This photograph can also look lovely in a child’s bedroom if you’re looking for something featuring animals, but not too busy or too childish. Thanks to its vertical format, it looks particularly good on a narrower wall or next to a wardrobe. You could combine it with other black-and-white animal photographs to create a cohesive series. This koala brings softness, warmth and a peaceful atmosphere into your home without being too saccharine.
