About ‘Wooden stakes on the North Sea beach’ by Lina van Oers

A row of weathered wooden posts runs in tight formation into the surf and disappears on the horizon. The sand is warm orange-beige, covered with remnants of sea foam laid down in thick white dabs of paint. The sea shows endless layers of turquoise, teal and grey-blue, until a bright azure meets the sky. Small wave crests break along the pilings and create foam strips; the wooden texture full of cracks and algae is faithfully painted in dark sepia and grey tones. This powerful perspective adds depth and invites the viewer to follow the path to the water. Hang this print above a sofa, bed or sideboard for an instant beach feel. In an office space, it offers calm and focus, while in a beach house or bathroom, it reinforces the maritime theme.
