Biophilic wall art – minimalist still life – A dried flower with a reflection by Marjolijn van den Berg

This photograph of a dried flower: "Biophilic muurdecoratie - minimalistisch stilleven - Een droogbloem met reflectie" is a macro shot of a beautiful dried Scabiosa flower head. Funnel-shaped parts, in natural shades of brown, come together to form this flower head.
The warm brown colours of this dried flower head, combined with the green background, create a natural, tranquil colour scheme. They lend the photograph an autumnal, warm atmosphere.
The flower head rests on a reflective surface where the water droplets transform the reflection into an abstract image.
This means the sphere appears twice in this photograph: once in a realistic depiction and once in an abstract form as a reflection on the surface.
I have kept the depth of field in this photograph relatively shallow. This creates a tranquil atmosphere in the photograph whilst, at the same time, giving a sense of depth.
This photograph would look stunning in a variety of interiors – think, for example, of a biophilic or rustic interior. And if you’re looking for a wall decoration set, you’ll find pieces in my shop under ‘Wall Art’ that would complement this beautifully!
For example, this photograph would look stunning behind acrylic glass above the sofa or sideboard in the living room, on an ArtFrame or canvas in the bedroom, or in a business setting – such as a waiting room, meeting room or office – on HD Metal or aluminium!
