About "Beauty hidden behind ancient doors"

About the artwork

In Hoi An, every traditional house seems to conceal a secret. Pushing open this patinated wooden door, you enter a dark corridor with carved walls, a real passage through time. Shadows reign, and the chiselled details of the architecture appear slowly as the eye adjusts. Then, at the far end, there is an opening onto a courtyard bathed in light, where a clump of green plants shines like an unexpected oasis.
This subtle interplay between darkness and light, between a protected interior and an open exterior, is what makes Vietnamese ancestral houses so rich. The depth of field accentuates the perspective, gently drawing the eye towards the vegetation, a symbol of life and serenity. The richly decorated frames are a reminder of the Chinese influence in local architecture.
This photo captures the delicate balance between protection and openness, privacy and breathing space, art and nature. It evokes the discreet charm and sophistication of the old buildings of Hoi An, where every detail is designed to create a dialogue between light and shade, wood and foliage, silence and contemplation.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
