About the artwork

Beachy Head Lighthouse. Seven Sisters. Familiar designations for the chalk cliffs on the south coast of England near Eastbourne. This lighthouse (43 metres high, its light visible 48 kilometres away) was built in 1902. Before that, a lighthouse had stood above the cliff for three quarters of a century, but due to sea fog, which is common here, that lighthouse was often not visible at all. Since 1983, the lighthouse keeper has given way to an automated light. Since a few years, with the advent of electronic navigation aids, the light has been replaced by a weaker LED light: visibility 15km. The red and white colour of the tower (called the day mark) would no longer be maintained due to budget cuts. But the British wouldn't be British, so money was raised and so the tower can last for quite a few years again!

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
