Beach reserve Noordvoort, located between Noordwijk and Zandvoort, is a special nature reserve where tranquillity and unspoilt coastal nature take centre stage. This unique reserve is only accessible on foot via a specially laid footpath that winds through the dune landscape. Buckthorn bushes grow along the path, whose orange berries in autumn add vibrant colour and food for birds to the scenery.
The area provides a protected habitat for birds such as wheatears and short-eared owls, and a chance to spot seals that often rest on the nearby beach. During the walk, you will experience the silence and vastness of the coastal landscape, with stunning views of the North Sea and dunes. Noordvoort is an example of how nature conservation and recreation can go hand in hand, and an ideal destination for nature lovers.
