Bauhaus Art: Terracotta & Green – Geometric Wall Art by Hilde Remerie – Digital Art, Bauhaus & Photography

This Bauhaus-inspired piece combines powerful geometric shapes with the warm, earthy quality of terracotta and the calming nature of green. Curved shapes and rectangles have been carefully balanced, creating a composition that feels both graphic and inviting. The clean lines and clear division of planes reference the Bauhaus tradition, whilst the natural colour palette lends the work a softer and more contemporary feel.

The terracotta shades bring warmth, depth and a touch of Mediterranean atmosphere to the interior. The green provides a natural counterbalance and gives the composition a calm, fresh look. It is precisely the combination of these colours that makes the work versatile: powerful enough to give a room character, yet harmonious enough to blend into a warm and natural interior.

The alternation between round and rectangular shapes creates an exciting rhythm. The circles bring movement and softness, whilst the rectangles add structure and stability. Together, they form a playful geometric whole that reveals ever-changing accents when viewed from different angles.

This artwork fits beautifully within the ‘Warmth for the Wall – Terracotta’ collection, where earthy colours and a warm atmosphere take centre stage. At the same time, it fits seamlessly with ‘Natural Living’, thanks to the combination of green, terracotta and timeless geometry.

A contemporary piece for those who love tranquil harmony, natural colours and the characterful simplicity of the Bauhaus.
