I found this beautiful old van in barn at a vacant farmhouse, a so-called barnfind. Although it had not been used for a long time and the rust swallowed up more and more blue, I could see that it must have been a beautiful van. Nice round shapes, like they are not made anymore. I photographed it all around so I had captured all the details. Nowhere could I find a make or type of the van so I decided to continue searching on the internet at home. It is a Wartburg Barkas B1000. Produced in the former GDR and immediately the only van in East Germany. It was the counterpart to the oh-so-popular VW T2.
