Avenue de Baobab is one of the attractions of the island of Madagascar located off the east coast of Africa. The Baobab tree which occurs in as many as 8 species is the national tree of the country for good reason! From afar you can see the trees. They are sometimes 25 to 30 meters high and up to 2000 years old. Most tourists visit the place during the setting sun in the evening, but also a visit in the early morning is more than worth it. I was lucky that some fog suddenly appeared just before the warm African sun made the moisture evaporate. But as soon as the fog came, it disappeared again. I knew that a very short moment in time had been captured by these giants of Madagascar.
