With this photo I won the 2nd prize of the International Landscape Photographer of the year! Made during my vacation to Bonaire (Netherlands Antilles). As a photographer I was especially interested in the Salt Mountains on the salt pans. Often I prepare myself well when I go out, but for this picture that was exactly the opposite. I did look for the right position, but otherwise it was 'just' along the road, leaning against the car, in the middle of the day and out of control. It couldn't be simpler. I did zoom in on the details on purpose. But the special thing is the colour combination. The pink of the sea (by one bacteria that can survive the high salt concentration), the white salt mountains and the dark blue sky. A surrealistic and abstract image.
