About "As smooth as a mirror"

About the artwork

At nature reserve 'The Tiendgorzen' in Nieuwendijk (Zuid-Beijerland), you will find all kinds of different birds such as geese, common terns, redshanks and little warblers.

It is a beautiful nature reserve in the Hoeksche Waard where you can enjoy walks and birdwatching. You can also hop on the ferry to Tiengemeten here.

One evening I went to the nature reserve to spot birds. There were hardly any at the time, which happens sometimes. That's always galling but then you start looking for other interesting subjects.

How beautiful it was there. Almost windless and the water was as smooth as a mirror. The sky blue and the colour blue also reflected in the water. The reflections of the trees and reeds on the other side completed the beautiful picture. You can feel the serenity when you look at this picture.

These are the most beautiful moments where I would prefer to stay there all evening to enjoy the view in peace. It is always pretty quiet there so you are really at one with nature. Being alone in the moment is important to me for awareness, inner peace and to reflect.

For this photo, I only used AI support to reduce digital noise (via Topaz DeNoise AI). All creative choices, edits and compositions were done entirely manually and by me.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
