Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand. It is located in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, on the South Island. In this area there are many glaciers and glacial lakes, such as Hooker Lake, where Hooker Glacier ends up. Even in summer, ice floes float here. The lake flows into a raging river full of rocks and stones that runs through the entire valley. It is the end point of the Hooker Valley Track, a popular day hike with tourists. The popularity is due to the accessibility of the hike. It's relatively flat, and you'll soon be rewarded with landscapes that can be put on a postcard. The trick is to photograph famous places in an original way.
