Gate of Light to God’s Grace – Seraphim Angel of Divine Grace
This image of an angel opens a gate of light: a Seraphim angel in luminous shades of green embodies the divine aspect of grace. With his wings spread wide and full of feathers, he holds a bowl from which the water of eternal life flows down in a radiant stream. This water pours over a meditating figure sitting in the lotus position on a staircase of emerald. His body is filled with starlight, a symbol of the vastness of the soul opening itself to divine grace.
The angel’s green is the colour of the heart chakra and of healing. It stands for growth, hope and renewal. As a seraphim, this angel belongs to the highest orders of angels, those closest to the divine source. His light reminds us that grace is a gift that flows unconditionally.
The element of earth is represented by the mighty emerald crystals surrounding the meditator. Earth signifies grounding, stability and security. It provides the celestial energy with a place where it can take root in everyday life.
For millennia, the emerald has been regarded as the stone of the heart and of love. Spiritually, it symbolises compassion, inner truth, harmony and spiritual healing. It opens the heart, strengthens the connection to the spiritual world and supports the renewal of body, mind and soul.

The original measures 200 x 100 cm and was painstakingly hand-painted using the egg tempera technique. This traditional technique lends the colours a special depth, luminosity and vibrancy that you can really feel in the room.
