An antique glass vase, a bunch of anemones and the upcoming spring are the inspiration for this work. A loose painting style is combined with collage technique. The vase and the flowers are loose elements placed later on the painted background. The vase in the centre and lastly the loose flowers arranged into an airy and playful bouquet.
The original painting measures 20 by 15 cm and comes into its own beautifully with a light and slightly wider passe partout. But the work also lends itself well to a large-format print in a large room.
Emy Franck studied Drawing and Dutch at the New Teacher Training in Utrecht and Graphic Design at the HKU.
