About "Aldeyjarfoss in the grip of winter"

About the artwork

Deep in Iceland's interior, hidden between lava fields and rugged mountain landscapes, lies Aldeyjarfoss. Normally the powerful waterfall attracts all the attention, but in winter the landscape turns into a frozen work of art. The iconic basalt columns, formed by volcanic forces, are encased in a thick layer of ice. This natural setting almost seems to come from another world: the jet-black rock stands out brightly against the crystalline white, while icy formations hang from the rocks like graceful sculptures.

Here, in the stillness of winter, nature shows itself at its most contrasting and hushed. The water that is always moving seems to disappear behind the frozen structures, shifting the focus to the jagged geometry of the basalt columns. A landscape of extremes, shaped by fire and ice.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
