About ‘Alder groves on the Strait of Gibraltar’ by Ronald Buitendijk Fotografie
There are a number of pods of pilot whales living in the Strait of Gibraltar. You can often see them bobbing on the surface of the water, but on this misty day they were quite active.
I find these toothed whales fascinating to watch, and this photo does convey a sense of emptiness. Even though this is a very busy shipping lane.

Strijen, Netherlands
Ronald Buitendijk started a few years ago with photographing animals he was looking for. With great pleasure he goes looking for wild animals to put them on film. Of course this is done in a way to disturb the animals as little as possible.
