About ‘Agra: Fort Agra’ by Maarten Verhees

Het Fort van Agra in de Indiase stad Agra werd van 1565 tot 1571 gebouwd in opdracht van de Mogolse keizer Akbar om zichzelf en de nieuwe hoofdstad Agra te beschermen. Het gebouw staat sinds 1983 op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO. Dit machtige fort van rood zandsteen wordt omsloten door een 2,5 kilometer lange vestingmuur. Vanwege de kleur wordt dit fort ook wel het Rode Fort genoemd. Het verhaal gaat dat een prins er zijn vader 8 jaar in heeft opgesloten, zodat hij naar de Taj Mahal kon kijken.Samen met de Taj Mahal is het Fort van Agra het boegbeeld van de verdwenen beschaving van de Mogolse keizers. Deze monumenten markeren het toppunt van een Indiase moslimkunst die sterk door invloeden uit Perzië gemarkeerd is.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
