The sun was slowly sinking behind the horizon, while the sky showed a play of colours: soft orange, deep pink and the first grey-blue of the approaching night. The cows in the field grazed on undisturbed, as if they had long known the daily spectacle of the setting sun.
The trees cast long shadows across the rolling grass, and the last rays of light lit up the landscape almost fairy-like. It was a moment of transition - from day to night, from bustle to silence.
In the distance, it was getting quieter and quieter. Only the soft sound of grazing animals and the whistle of a bird singing its last song of the day filled the air. The heat of the day slowly receded and a cool breeze announced the night.
It was one of those evenings that you remember, not because of what happened, but because of how it felt: a deep, peaceful end to the day.
Zeeland, NL in my way.
The coast the water the beaches with the dunes and the sea. Zeeland has so much to offer and it is not for nothing that many holidaymakers come to the coast in summer. In my way I capture Zeeland all year round.
