The basis for this work is a monotype or monoprint made with a gelliplate and acrylic paint. A unique handmade and one-off work, only one print can be made of your design. The graphic printing technique and the paper used create all kinds of textures and effects. This makes it interesting to look at. I further processed this monoprint with collage, paint and pencil. This is then called mixed media. Inspiration is the harbour, blue skies with clouds reflected in the water, a cruise ship with windows, chimneys, cranes, buildings, lots of technology and movement. A weather tangle of activity. The red forms the focal points your eye is drawn to. Then you look at the white and black on the imaginary horizon. The gold-coloured boxes make the work chic, Industrial yet also fitting the 'hotel chic' trend
