Abstract landscape in earth tones | Modern art with soft shades of pink

by Bianca ter Riet

This abstract landscape exudes tranquillity, space and harmony. Soft transitions from cream, sand, powder pink and deep earth tones blend effortlessly into one another, creating a serene image reminiscent of the horizon at sunrise or sunset. The subtle colour gradients, transparent layers of paint and vertical drips lend the painting a vibrant texture, whilst the minimalist composition evokes a sense of balance and serenity.

The combination of warm neutral colours and expressive brushstrokes makes this work a contemporary form of abstract art. Without depicting a specific landscape, it evokes memories of vast natural expanses, morning mist or the last light of day. It is precisely this openness that allows every viewer to discover their own story and emotions within the painting.

This modern abstract painting fits perfectly into a Japandi, Scandinavian, minimalist, hotel chic or modern interior. The calm colours create a warm and stylish atmosphere in the living room, bedroom, hall or office. Lovers of contemporary art, minimalist art, abstract landscapes and modern wall art will be drawn to the simplicity, the layers and the timeless appeal of this piece.

I find inspiration in the tranquillity that arises when colour, light and space come together. With this painting, I wanted to create a sense of stillness, without fully capturing the scene. I hope it invites you to pause for a moment and leaves room for your own interpretation.
