I find photography super fun to do. Creating extraordinary and often colourful works of art made with my camera is my greatest passion.
I also enjoy painting. When painting, I work intuitively, I am guided by my feelings and have no fixed plan in advance of what I am going to make.
After this, the ultimate challenge is to combine both art forms into a new artistic work of art. For this, I will then combine a photograph with a painting.
This artwork has as its base a painting of organic round shapes in natural and soothing colours. This painting is mixed with a photo of several different lichens on a stone.
Both the painting and the photo have different shapes, textures, colours and patterns. It gives me a thrill when I can mix a painting with a photograph where the shapes, textures, colours and patterns match perfectly and they also complement and enhance each other.
The organic coloured shapes depicted here have a nice link to the natural lichen, each of which also has another beautiful shape and colour.
The end result has become a rustic, organic, soothing and natural work of art in which there is an extraordinary amount to discover in terms of shapes, colours, patterns and structures.
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
