About ‘Abstract Choreography in Orange and Black - Dancing Duo’ by Arjen Roos

In this new work, Abstract Choreography in Orange and Black - Dancing Duo, I combine raw abstraction with two 3D rendered scribbled dancers created by myself. The dancers move on the border between light and dark, in the middle of a circular dynamic of orange glow, deep black shadow and weathered textures.

The interplay between geometric shapes and organic movement is at the heart of this work. The circle radiates energy, as if the dancers are swept along in a rhythm larger than themselves. At the same time, their transparent, line-like bodies actually bring something human and fragile to the harsh abstract world around them.

This tension - between the graphic and the human - makes this work a logical addition to my collection Populated Worlds. This series focuses on the interaction between a shaped world and the figure moving through it. The world and the dancer do not exist separately, but reinforce each other's story.

The result is a powerful, rhythmic artwork that is both modern and expressive, and fits perfectly into interiors where colour, movement and abstract art are allowed to come together.

This work is part of my XXL collection so it remains highly detailed even at very large sizes or when cut out horizontally or vertically.
