Above the rooftops of Füssen - A song of light and landscape by Walter G. Allgöwer

High above the rolling hills of the Allgäu, a breathtaking panorama opens up from the Tegelberg - a silent song of light, landscape and time. Deep below lies Füssen, its historic old town like a mosaic of red brick and golden memory, embraced by the sparkling blue of the Lech. The river meanders through the town like a silver ribbon, linking past and present, before disappearing into the expanse of the lake landscape.
Behind Füssen, the Weißensee shimmers, calm and clear, and further to the right the Hopfensee and the majestic Forggensee - their water surfaces reflect the sky and clouds as if they wanted to extend the view into infinity. Forests nestle against the slopes, fields glow in lush green, and above it all rests the quiet grandeur of the Bavarian Alps.
It is as if the world holds its breath here for a moment - a balance of movement and stillness, of man and nature. Füssen lies there like a poem of stone and light, a place where history, longing and beauty are united in a single glance.
