About the artwork
The beach and the sea! A great place to be. To experience, smell, feel, hear. All your senses are stimulated when you are by the sea.
And I don't mean a beach crammed with holidaymakers and the accompanying noises. No, I mean a deserted beach, with maybe the occasional walker.
Such a deserted beach makes you experience the specialness of this place even more. The impressive sea, always going on and on. It always keeps ebbing and flowing. So special! It makes you feel really small when you look at the sea.
And such a sea is naturally beautiful when the sun sets in it. Everyone still on the beach then keeps staring at the setting sun and taking pictures of it.
But it is also smart to turn around during sunset. Look back at the dunes. This photo shows such a moment.
On this day, it had rained into the evening. Only towards sunset did the sun show itself again. The dark clouds moved further inland and the setting sun created a nice warm glow in the dunes.
Beautiful deserted and minimalist landscape. A haven of peace in your home.
