Mallard ducks typically have a shiny green head and are grey on their wings and belly. It is one of the most widespread and well-known species in the world, and most domesticated duck breeds.
The male mallard in breeding plumage is instantly recognisable and unmistakable; its bright yellow bill contrasts with its iridescent green head, which is bordered by a white collar. The breast is a rich chestnut and leads to greyish white belly. The back is greyish brown and the blue speculum on the wings is bordered by thick white lines, with a rump and black undertail coverts, contrasting with white outer tail feathers, and bright orange legs and feet. Moulting mallards may not look quite the same, as in mallards their tightly curled tail feathers on top of the rump is a key field characteristic. I am inspired by the versatility of artistic shapes and colour combination by applying it in this mixed media work, with produced from papier-mâché, canvas, hard cardboard, acrylic paint, panel with dimensions of height 50 cm x width 70 cm x thickness 3.0 cm.
This art technique is the ideal one, because of its beautiful shapes, visible and tangible details, so that when viewing this artwork it is as if the characters from the panel stepped into the world, because of the many relative art details that emerge, based on photo-realistic, figurative feelings and love for Flora and fauna mainly from the Amazon region.
The quality of this art technique retains its value under all weather conditions.
