A view of the Oudegracht between the red geraniums in Utrecht. On this Saturday morning, the city was getting busy. More and more people were getting out on the water to explore the city. So here was a group of people rowing a hired canoe down the Oudegracht from the Bemuurde Weerd to the city centre. A wonderful way for tourists to see the city with all its canals and wharves by the water. And what a fun activity for the whole family or with a group of friends. And in between, stop off at the delicious waterfront restaurants for a pit stop. Now that really is a fun activity that allows you to really see the city of Utrecht in a different way. Of course this is for the sporty, there are also various motor boats or suppes for rent. There is also often a canal cruise. This can be done with and without food and drinks on board.
