Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

Beta feature. You need an AR-capable device (a recent iPhone/iPad or Android). The AR view is only an indication; colour, size and finish may differ in reality.

About ‘A touch of Japan haiku’ by Karen Kaspar

cherry blossoms
a touch of Japan
in my garden

The pink cherry blossoms against a blue sky are a detail from an acrylic painting by Karen Kaspar.

This work, a combination of painting and haiku, is a collaborative project by Karen Kaspar (© art) and Marjolein Rotsteeg (© Haiku).
A haiku is a traditional Japanese poetic form consisting of three lines.

Here, the acrylic painting has been complemented by a haiku in English. The painting ‘Two Sparrows in a Blossoming Cherry Tree’ is also available without text (see album 'Vögel').
You can find more paintings with haikus and poems in my albums 'Haiku und Malerei Englisch' und 'Haiku und Malerei Holländisch'. New works are added to the albums regularly, so do pop in from time to time!

More about ArtFrame

Meet the artist

Karen Kaspar

Germany

I have been a passionate artist since childhood. I work in traditional painting techniques such as watercolour, acrylic, pastel and drawing with charcoal, pencil and ink. For me, inspiration is everywhere around me. My favourite subjects are flowers, animals (especially cats and birds), landscapes and colourful abstract paintings. I love to create pictures with which I can convey joy and happiness to other people.
