About ‘A summery polka-dot day with Livia and Dex’ by Daphne Zonneveld

With this artwork, I want to capture a summer’s day on the Bergen coast, when Livia went for a walk with Dex in the morning. She is wearing a white hat with black polka dots, and Dex is her faithful, cheerful companion with his blue floral collar. Dex is almost as graceful as she is.
My own daughter was my inspiration. I enjoy creating heart-warming art and want to convey just how precious the bond between humans and animals is.
This painting would look lovely in the home of an animal lover or anyone who loves the beach and the sea.
The artwork is created using acrylic paint.
This artwork offers the buyer a moment of respite. A moment of tranquillity, sunshine, the sea and a world where everything is light and gentle for a while.
The subtle echo between the Dalmatian’s spots and the dots on her hat creates a sense of cohesion. The sun, the wind and Livia’s posture evoke a feeling of memories you can almost touch.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
