A splendour of flowers with a golden sheen by But First Framing

A striking Scottish Highland cow gazes calmly and directly at the viewer. Her soft coat features light pink and cream-coloured tones, giving her a friendly and almost fairy-tale-like appearance. Her dark eyes and pink nose lend the animal an open and curious character.

A rich crown of flowers rests between her graceful horns. Large flowers in pink, white and dark purple are surrounded by deep green leaves and small splashes of colour. Golden jewellery with shimmering shapes hangs from one ear, adding a playful and festive detail to the portrait. This adornment transforms the Highland cow into a special queen with her own unique, idiosyncratic style.

The deep blue-green background forms a stark contrast with the light coat and bright flowers. This allows all the shapes and colours to stand out powerfully, whilst the composition remains calm. The animal’s gaze creates a direct connection with the viewer.

What makes this artwork unique is the combination of rustic charm, romantic flowers and a touch of luxury. The image feels cheerful, warm and full of personality. The Highland cow exudes gentleness, yet through her horns, crown and jewellery, she also radiates pride and strength.
