This small pine in the picture is on the Beekhuizerzand, a sand drift in the municipality of Harderwijk in the Veluwe. The little tree was only about a metre tall, so it is a young pine. This small pine is one of the many pines on the Beekhuizerzand and belongs to the Scots pine. I highlighted the pine with 2 Nikon SB-700 reporter flash units. I used a strobist technique for this photo to since both flash units were on a tripod and not on my camera. Because I used reportage strobes, the little tree stands out from the background.
