About the artwork
A gull flying over the North Sea in panorama. Gull over the North Sea photographed from the south pier near IJmuiden. The foam heads on the waves during a strong west wind. While photographing the south pier near IJmuiden on a stormy day. I didn't see very many seagulls. But a few came flying by. In black and white, the raw nature of the bad weather is well represented. As the photo shows, the strong wind the single gull and the raging waves were not easy to capture. The harsh conditions were beautiful to see and photograph. In a standing panorama crop ideal for stairwells in the home or office. But also to make a triptych of it in combination with other photos in my collection. Zaankanteropavontuur with the camera armed through the country. Ripple edges of the cities and industrial estates. But also the villages and the coasts. Photography digital and analogue from the camera for on the wall, of the living room waiting room, study, or office.
