An almost minimalist picture of an egret in a nature reserve, which, it seems, is looking at its reflection on the surface of the water. In reality, of course, it is looking for fish, frogs or other edible animals, and these beautiful creatures do so with incredible calm and patience. They remain almost motionless in one place, only to strike at the right moment.
For the viewer who anthropomorphises the animals, so to speak, i.e. imputes human behaviour to them, it looks more as if he is looking at himself in the mirror, just as some people may also do with great patience and devotion.
This picture has been edited very little. In order to expose the white plumage correctly, the image must be underexposed overall, which in this case leads to the desired effect that many details simply disappear into black, into nothingness, and a minimalist impression is created. This really emphasises the heron and its reflection, as if it were standing in the spotlight. At the same time, the picture radiates calmness due to the lack of details or background.
