There are still these places that have somehow remained original, hardly touched by tourism or instagram-hype. On the Bavarian side of the Sonntagshorn, for example, in Chiemgau, in the Bavarian Alps. The climb from this side over the Kraxenbach is long and strenuous, many people don't like that anymore. But for that reason you still have the peace and calmness here, a piece of wilderness that feels like untouched nature. And the Schwarzachenalm is, so to speak, the entrance to this little wilderness, up to here you can still get by bike, from here there are only narrow mountain paths through the mountain forest, over steep rocky terrain, at the end over the ridge, a little exposed, nothing for package holidaymakers. That's probably why it has remained quiet here. And that's why I love this area. To breathe deeply, to refuel. So that one remains grateful and content.
