The Hoftoren is one of the architectural pearls of The Hague. The building located near the Central Station houses the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the Government Cleaning Organization and the Gaming Authority, among others. At 142 meters tall, the Hoftoren is one of the pillars of The Hague's striking skyline. The tower's block structure lends itself very well to a black-and-white photograph. By pulling the blue sky all the way to black, the contrasts are accentuated. A passing cloud adds a playful touch to the austere composition.
