Underside of a group of salmon mushrooms (rhodotus palmatus). The stems show the reddish-brown guttation typical of this species. This mushroom species usually blooms in late autumn (late October to mid-November). It is a macro photo, with the warm colours of autumn. The slats, the lines on the underside of the mushrooms, make it a tight, somewhat abstract picture. The diagonal direction of the lines adds dynamism to the image. The photo really shows the beauty of autumn and mushrooms.
I am very happy with this photo because salmon mushrooms are quite rare. They only grow on the wood of elms.
The photo was taken with a camera with a macro lens, creating a detailed image.
The photo fits into a sleek, minimalist interior as well as on a somewhat fuller wall. With its soft salmon pink, taupe tones, it fits well in an interior with warm tones, pink, earth tones, sand terracotta and wood, or wood print. Beautiful above a dining table or in the hall.
