About the artwork
It is an enchanted spectacle what you see here. It looks like an attempt to capture light. The light blue light is guided by a rolled-up piece of gold paper. Below it, you can see more pieces of gold paper and more light blue light beams.
But is it really light? And is it really gold paper making a desperate attempt to catch the light in a cylindrical roll? Or is it an object of wood lying folded over the image?
Most likely, it is an illusion, a fantasy and an enchanting representation.
This picture was made digitally, but its basis is a simple photograph taken from a simple object.
A glass object is what I used to photograph here. The sunlight, which was caught in the glass, created a beautiful pale blue beam of light with a glimmer of light here and there in the colours of the rainbow. The background used with the glass object created a golden glow over the photo. I took several photos of all this, which I merged with my camera. Finally, the original photo was digitally edited and resulted in a modern abstract artwork in light blue with gold. There is a nice contrast between the cool light blue and the warm gold.
