A Thai Airways Boeing 747-400 takes off from Zurich airport for a flight to beautiful and warm Thailand.
Zurich Airport, formerly Zurich-Kloten Airport is, in terms of passengers, the largest airport in Switzerland.
Located north of Zurich, the airport is home to Swiss (Swiss International Air Lines and Swiss European Air Lines) and serves as the third hub for Lufthansa. In addition, it is home to Edelweiss Air and Helvetic Airways. The airport's main buildings are located in the area of the municipality of Kloten. The airport is also located on portions of the municipalities of Opfikon, Rümlang, Oberglatt and Winkel.
The airport has a number of prime spots where spotters and day-trippers can watch the air traffic.
