About ‘2 sister ships go on a cruise’ by Jan Barthodzie

The two cruise ships Queen Elisabeth and Queen Victoria left Hamburg together in the evening on this icy day in January and set off on a long voyage. The pack ice on the Elbe was a rare sight. The picture was taken from the roof of the Dockland.

Original created by Jan Barthodzie.

"Let the most absent-minded man fall into the deepest reverie - put that man on his feet, set him in motion, and he will lead you unerringly to the water." (Herman Melville)
It could be that this is why most of my photos are taken by the water - it magically attracts me. In addition to the motifs of my hometown of Hamburg, I take photos while travelling (I like to travel in an old VW bus) and in nature.
