I am Roderick Sebastiaan, an artist who combines the beauty of oil paintings with endless possibilities of digital art. My path to art was not shaped by formal education, but by a curiosity and love of creating something new. I have been fortunate enough to share my art with people in the United States and Canada, and now I would like to connect with my roots in Europe, especially Amsterdam, where I am from and have my home.
My art is heavily inspired by my travels and the artists I have admired along the way. From Dutch masters like Piet Mondrian and Willem de Kooning to Yves Klein from France, Gerhard Richter from Germany and Bridget Riley from the UK (the list could go on and on). These artists have influenced my approach to abstract and figurative art. Their ability to convey complex emotions and stories through abstract forms has always fascinated me.
For me, art is more than just a form of expression; it is a way to communicate and connect. It has been very rewarding to see my artworks in homes in America, but now I look forward to sharing my art with people in Europe & bringing a piece of my world to yours. I am excited to start this new chapter, connecting with you through my art, in the place I call home.
