About Niek van Schie
Niek van Schie is an autonomous photographer with a professional background in horticulture and landscaping. Together with nature, these are the most important themes in his photography.
Nature sometimes seems hard and indifferent, but man always seeks beauty. His photographs are often the result of a process of intervention, collaging and re-photographing.
He also works with old techniques such as cyanotype. Niek is mentor for the Dutch photo association and organizes various courses and workshops under the name Studio Nemus.
