My way of working is infused with passion. Passion for photography, passion for the people I get to photograph, passion for the people I work with and teach courses to. There is no other way I could or would do it.
I started as an autonomous photographer in 2005. I trained at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and specialised at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam.
So I am a passionate photographer of people. It's a fantastic challenge for me every time to photograph people as they really are and would like to photograph them with respect and integrity. Images that someone can proudly say, "Look, that's me!"
Furthermore, I enjoy making free work with an artistic twist.
My photography is (often) characterised by layered Fine-Art photography images and a certain mystery combined with purity in my portraits. Or as one Ridderkerk gallery owner describes it, "Mark Isarin sees an opportunity to create an atmosphere of calm and mystery within his photography, but also tension and mysticism. Each of his photographs is the beginning of an exciting story."
