Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
My name is Joke Küppers and I live in Vlissingen, where I enjoy the sea and the bright sunlight.
As a creative autodidact, I have tried many ways of painting (beeswax, watercolour, silk, acrylic and/or oil paint). Ultimately, I find working alcohol ink the most enjoyable because of the bright colours that flow beautifully into each other, making it very challenging to achieve a good end result. Because alcohol ink really has a mind of its own which means I often have to adjust my idea/goal. Just "go with the flow"!
Working with beeswax is not to be sneezed at either. Its pigment is fuller and warmer.
In short, challenging enough to make beautiful things and share them with you!

I am Joke Küppers and I live in the Netherlands in Flushing (Vlissingen) where I enjoy a life full of bright sunshine, the sea and the bright, vivid colours.
As a self-taught creator I tried several ways of painting (encaustic, water colour, silk, acrylic and oil). Eventually I prefer to work with alcohol ink because of the brightness and the flow of the ink colours. This gives me quite a challenge to get to the final result which I had in mind. But sometimes it's just "go with the flow", because alcohol ink has a mind of its own.
Encaustic art is also a very nice discipline. The pigmentation is warmer and richer.
So enough challenge to make beautiful things to share them with you!
